Thousands of flowers adorned the streets of a tiny Dutch town at the weekend, taking on the form of mystical creatures and tussling animals.
Mounted on floral floats, these breathtaking designs processed through the town of Zundert in its annual Corso Zundert Flower Parade on Sunday 4.
Teams of volunteers were competing for the best-designed flower float in this year's competition, which saw thousands of dahlias in incredible shapes on 20 floats, from foxes playing and a huge, golden lion to a flame-haired woman and a bizarre wind-swept man.
According to the parade organizers, floats can reach lengths of 65ft and heights of 30ft with a staggering half a million flowers used.
The event occurs on the first September of every year but volunteers begin preparing their entry as early as May to be ready in time.
A giant smoke-breathing orange dragon entitled Dangerous Transportation and designed by a team called Tiggelaar won the competition. Scroll down to see pictures of the incredible creations.
