Different International Borders around the World

Walls, fences, desert or even paint: These images capture some of the most outrageous international borders around the world

As Donald Trump jumpstarts his election manifesto pledge to build a 'big, beautiful wall' along America's border with Mexico by signing two executive orders, many countries around the world rely on nature or ingenuity for their borders.
Borders between countries can be separated by lakes, gorges on a river, crossings on a mountain - and even a lick of paint, as is the case in the village of of Baarle-Hertog between Belgium and the Netherlands.
Some borders are spectacular - such as the awe-inspiring Iguazu Falls - that separates the Brazilian state of Paraná and the Argentine province of Misiones.

The border fence at a hillside on the US-Mexico border - President Donald Trump is pressing ahead with his election manifesto to build a 'big, beautiful wall' across the roughly 2,000-mile border. Some 650 miles of the US-Mexico border is covered already by a non-continuous series of fences, concrete slabs and other structures. However Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto has vehemently ruled out his country paying for the wall
