What began as a gripping handshake and a flirtatious and furious batting of her eyelashes turned into tawdry sex in every nook and cranny of the Oval Office, including on the revered President's desk.
It was the ultimate fatal attraction after Bill Clinton met Monica Lewinsky at a White House function in 1997, and these photos reveal how the shameless couple posed up together as well as her constantly lurking nearby.
The affair changed both their lives forever and the fallout from the sexual liaison has never subsided, according to Secret Service Officer Gary Byrne in his book, Crisis of Character.
Lewinsky became a pariah who disappeared from public view for years and for Bill, the repercussions of impeachment over the duplicity have haunted wife Hillary Clinton during her presidential campaign.
Bill Clinton met Monica Lewinsky at a White House function in 1997, and continued to pose together even after starting their White House affair. They are pictured together - Lewinsky wearing her infamous blue dress - following a radio address in February 1997
Clinton later admitted to having an inappropriate relationship with Lewinsky (pictured above with Clinton in December 1996) between 1995 and 1997 while she was working at the White House
Lewinsky (pictured in back, believed to be greeting Hillary Clinton in their only known photo together) never seemed to stay far from Clinton at official events at the White House
More than just a secretive sexual romp in the White House 19 years ago, their red-hot phone sex posed a threat to national security when intercepted by the UK, Israel and Russia.
A less than subtle 'blackmail' attempt by the Prime Minister of Israel urged Clinton to release an American who was spying for Israel, according to another Clinton author, Daniel Halper, in his book Clinton Inc.
Clinton tried to comply and keep it all under wraps, but their sexual high jinks exploded on to the international scene.
Nothing was off limits to Clinton and the 'pepperpot' intern - there was little fear of getting caught.
The young White House intern was 22 at the time, and Clinton was a 51-year old who recognized just how easy it was to get oral sex on demand.
During one of the government shutdowns, Lewinsky was brought into the White House to answer phones.
Word quickly spread that the president had eyed her, but he always had an eye for sexy, busty women.
Lewinsky stepped into the game and was now on the hunt. Bill was her quarry.
Two days after this photo was taken in November 1995, Monica performed oral sex on the President in the private bathroom outside the Oval Office study

She often played a game, 'I Spy the President', so named by Byrne, who stood on duty outside of the Oval Office.
'We wondered how he got any work done and joked that he would have been better at running a brothel in a red-light district than the White House,' Byrne wrote.
Caught by the Secret Service in off-limit hallways, Lewinsky had a myriad of excuses from - 'I'm here to use the bathroom; They asked me to deliver something here; I'm just here to see a friend'.
Trying to avoid being caught, she'd duck into neighboring offices and corridors that she hoped would lead her directly into Clinton's arms.
She'd hang around just batting her eyes at anyone until she learned where Clinton was or where he was headed.
She would then rush to maneuver into his path - just to catch his passing glance, a wink, a 'Hey there'.
A short skirt kept his focus on her and with a quick flip up of the back of her skirt, she'd show him her thong panties - turning up the heat and passion even more.
Lewinsky had his number - the 'secret number' that enabled her to dial his direct line without going through anyone. The number was one few people had.
A family affair. The president poses with Monica in the Oval Office with her stepmother Barbara, father Dr. Bernard Lewinsky and brother Michael

Lewinsky, pictured greeting Clinton at a White House Christmas party in December 1996, would reportedly wander off-limit hallways of the building in hopes of running into Clinton
Lewinsky also had the off-limit 'secret number' that enabled her to dial Clinton's direct line without going through anyone
Lewinsky (pictured center in the third row with fellow White House interns) started at the White House as an intern when she was just 22 years old. Clinton was 51 years old at the time
It was a four-digit pass code that was rhythmically coded requiring keys to be depressed for a specific length of time with precise pauses between numbers.
Lewinsky was so caught up in the passion of sex and the clandestine thrill of the intrigue, she never thought she'd get caught.
Lewinsky used one steward, Steward Bayani Nelvis - known in the West Wing as Nel - as someone she said she needed to see when she wanted to travel down the hallways to find Clinton.
Nel warned her that she was traversing dangerous waters and suggested she didn't want to end up like 'that Paula Jones girl'.
But Lewinsky shrugged off that sage advice as an impossibility viewing herself as ever so much smarter than Paula Jones.
The stewards were savvy to Bill Clinton's White House sexual encounters out of sight of Hillary before they started with Lewinsky.
Steward Nel had discovered a cache of semen and lipstick-stained towels starting in 1996, a year before Lewinsky arrived in the West Wing.
After Lewinsky's arrival the stash continued to accumulate, but Nel knew it wasn't Lewinsky's lipstick on the towels because she didn't wear that color.
This letter from Monica to the president was included in the Starr report in his investigation of the relationship between Clinton and Lewinsky/ She refers to the hat pin he gave her
Lewinsky did not believe she and Clinton would get caught, according to a former Secret Service agent. At a fundraising event in October 1996, Lewinsky greeted Clinton with a big smile
After a Secret Service agent complained about Clinton and Lewinsky's affair, Lewinsky (pictured greeting Clinton at an event) was to the public affairs office at the Pentagon
At the time she was transferred, Monica was just dying to tell someone about her sexual escapades and fond a confidante in her co-worker, Linda Tripp
Tripp, however, was recording all of Lewinsky's confessions about her affair with Clinton during her time at the White House
He recognized it as the color that the receptionist wore - but didn't think she wasn't wiping her mouth on the towels.
The president, he thought, was wiping the lipstick and semen off of his penis and onto the towels that bore the White House seal.
Secret Service agent Byrne was so incensed at the affair in the Oval Office, on the President's Desk, in the hallways and other offices, he complained to Deputy Chief of Staff Evelyn Lieberman and asked that Lewinsky be removed from the West Wing.
Lieberman knew the dangers should it continue and transferred Lewinsky to the public affairs office at the Pentagon where she met Linda Tripp who became her confidante.
Clinton pulled some strings to get his girl back in the West Wing and she showed up again with a 'blue pass'. She was now a taxpayer-funded presidential staffer.
Lewinsky was just dying to tell someone about her sexual escapades and Tripp was ever so willing to listen and record those torrid, giggly girly confessionals. But the Brits, Russians and Israelis were also listening.
Lewinsky told Tripp that when having phone sex Clinton never asked her what she was wearing at the time but always described what he was wearing while stroking himself to orgasm - typically his blue 'tighties' for undies and a gray University of Arkansas sweatshirt.
When Lewinsky was transferred out of the West Wing she was put into the role as a Social Office intern under Hillary Clinton(pictured in 1996)
Meanwhile, Bill Clinton was still married to Hillary throughout his years-long affair with Lewinsky
Lewinsky described the blow***s she gave the president while he talked on the phone with ambassadors and other dignitaries.
There was nothing she held back while gabbing to Tripp. Ears around the globe were burning.
According to author Halper, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thought the information retrieved from the microwaves off the top of the White House was good enough to warrant Clinton advocating the release of Jonathan Pollard who was jailed for spying for Israel.
In a meeting near Wye River, Maryland in 1998, Netanyahu told Clinton that the Israelis had indeed heard the hot sex talk and he offered a quid pro quo – they would throw away the tapes if Pollard was freed.
Clinton lobbied for Pollard's release but CIA director George Tenet threatened to resign if the administration acceded to the request.
In March 1997 Clinton called Lewinsky to the Oval Office and confessed this was to be their last sexual encounter - they oral sex in the study just outside the Oval Office.
He had fallen down stairs at Australian golfer Greg Norman's house in Florida and was on crutches with limited movement.
The finality of their affair was not any act of morality by the president but he had learned that their phone sex 'may have been overheard'.

Tripp gave recordings of Lewinsky to Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr, and Lewinsky later had to testify about her affair with Clinton. Pictured above, Lewinsky is seen leaving court in December 1999
A blue dress Lewinsky wore along with several other items related to her relationship with Clinton were used as evidence in documents in the Ken Starr investigation
Lewinsky's now infamous dress was used as evidence because it was stained during a sexual encounter with Clinton
'If anybody ever says anything about the calls I've made to you, tell them we were just joking,' Byrne says Clinton told to Lewinsky.
Lewinsky told prosecutors that 'they knew their calls were being monitored all along, and the phone sex was just a put-on', according to the Starr Report on the encounter.
The microwaves emanating off the top of the White House had been feeding all those ears with delicious details of Clinton's 'predilection for beautiful young women', former Russian president, Boris Yeltsin wrote in his memoir.
The British government could even have listened in while Clinton was on a presidential trip to the Seychelles and phoned Lewinsky for some quick long distance sex.
Fearful of repercussions from the Clintons, Lewinsky shared bombshell information with her legal and public relations team – and not so with the independent prosecutor investigating the Clintons.
She was preparing for possible legal action against the president and offered up detailed and salacious nuggets mostly never before reported in what was called the 'Monica Files'.
Books Clinton Inc and Crisis of Character detail the trysts and backstory of the Clinton and Lewinsky affair
One of Lewinsky nuggets was the story of a woman who claimed she met Clinton when she was a student at a university in California, some time after 1970 when he returned to the states from his Rhodes scholar studies.
On their second date they ended up in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park where Clinton led her to a wooded area, 'knocked her to the ground and attempted to have sex with her', author Daniel Halper reports in his recent book, Clinton, Inc.
The victim was 5ft, 11in, and fought off Clinton by scratching and kicking until she was able to get away.
The story goes that Clinton tried to reach her by phone decades later in California and asked if she would 'support' him in his presidential race.
A hard-core Democrat, the answer was yes but she believed the real purpose of the call was to learn whether or not she was going to publicly expose him.
Another juicy nugget in the Monica Files details the White House theater as the scene of many presidential dalliances with a variety of women.
The boys' club in the Clinton West Wing gossiped about those quickies with young staffers who happened to catch the president's eye, hand or 'inadvertent' touch.
Clinton loved to brag to old friends about his celebrity conquests that allegedly included Liz Hurley, Eleanor Mondale, and even suggested that Barbra Streisand was more than just a 'friend'.
Clinton's Secretary of Health and Human Services Donna Shalala always knew that Bill Clinton had 'a woman problem.'
She didn't believe he'd ever overcome it to become president.
